Highly unusually a stray tabby cat made a den for herself and her three kittens in an abandoned bird’s nest in a dense tree overlooking an industrial site. A volunteer working for the cat charity Cats Protection found the den and rescued all the cats. In another unusual circumstance, it is believed that the father of the kittens was nearby looking over them. Although I would have thought it was difficult to ascertain that he was the father because as many as 10 male cats can inseminate one female. It is hoped to rehome the mother and father together.
