Kittens do love bites on their mother as you can see the photograph. Adult cats do them on people when they are gently playing with their human companion. But they are not quite the same as human love bites because the circumstances are different and they are essentially a form of play. They are friendly and they are indirectly a sign of affection but they are rooted in playing and play in cat is invariably about play-hunting.
