Why did this woman shoot her own sick cat? It seems that she neglected her cat to the point where he became very ill. She asked a neighbour to shoot her cat. She offered to pay him. He refused. She then did it herself. Her neighbour then reported the matter to animal control about eight days later. She appears to be prosecuted for animal cruelty. Why did she do it? I would argue that she did it because she did not have sufficient funds to pay a veterinarian to treat her cat or euthanise him. And therefore she decided to euthanise himself. This is illegal in my view but apparently not is some parts of the US.
