Did Margaret Thatcher Have A Pet?

Did Margaret Thatcher have a pet? It seems that she was often photographed with dogs but had no pets until late in her life.

She told a friend that she would have liked to have owned a dog. However, her husband was against it as he did not care for animals.

After her husband, Sir Denis, died I am told that she acquired a tabby cat called Marvin.

Accordingly, Margaret Thatcher did have a pet late in life (I’ll presume during retirement) and that pet was a tabby cat, quite possibly and probably a random bred cat from a rescue centre such as Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Source: Times Newspaper. There are no pictures of Marvin. If someone can find one please tell me in a comment.
