Did Khloé Kardashian photoshop the photograph of her Russian Blue cat? A question of vital importance.

Fans of Khloé Kardashian have accused her of photoshopping the photograph, on Instagram, of her Russian Blue cat. Detective work is required! We’ve got to get to the bottom of this critically important world news issue. She has a beautiful Russian Blue and she has published a photograph of her cat called Grey Kitty (imaginative 🙄) for her Valentine’s Day-themed Instagram post.

Observers of the photograph say that it is more artificial than genuine and that the face has been digitally altered. The mouth is perfectly curved and smiling and the eyes are a brilliant green (as per the breed standard by the way! 🙄).

One observer said: “I am sorry but this is really overdone”. And another commented: “Khloé Kardashian literally face tuned her cat.” While another, on Reddit, commented that, “This is an actual illness at this point her sense of reality is face-tuned”.

Others defended her by saying that this is a genuine Russian Blue of high quality. This is how they look.

Well, yes, as mentioned, the Russian Blue must have green eyes. Gloria Stephens in her book Legacy of the Cat (great book on the breeds) says that they are “vivid green in colour”. Good breeders will ensure that that is the case. Grey Kitty’s eyes look genuine to me.

The overall body confirmation of her cat is correct for this breed. They are quite a delicate looking cat. The slightly troubling aspect of this photograph is the cat’s smile.

The French breed, the Chartreux, has a smiling face because of their selectively bred anatomy. But the Russian Blue normally does not have this smile built into the face.

It would be plausible to suggest that the picture has been photoshop to add in this smile which would be quite easy to do. Other than that, I think the appearance is normal for this breed.

The body of the Russian Blue should be long and graceful with a slender tail, long legs and “small, oval-shaped feet”. Dainty feet, as can be seen in the photograph. I don’t know but this might be a female and females are known to be slightly finer in their build, with smaller bodies and a sweet serene expression according to Gloria Stephens.

Well, perhaps the smile is genuine because it gives this beautiful cat a ‘serene expression’. If the picture has been photoshopped it’s been quite subtle. And if that is the case then I can’t see a problem. Can you?

P.S. the face might have shaded a bit to make it a little more interesting. If true is a minor adjustment and it would not change the anatomy.
