The Minskin is one of about 13 dwarf cat breeds all of which are founded on the original dwarf cat: the Munckin.
They can suffer from 2 congenital health issues. The dwarf cats have proved to be less popular than once believed they might perhaps because of ethical issues. Is it wise to bred cats with a disability that if in humans would be serious?
That said the Russian breeders are good. I don’t think people in the USA realise how good they are and how well developed the cat fancy is in Russia. They breed some amazing Maine Coons for instance.
