Members of the Bridgeport, Connecticut Fire Department performed an unusual cat rescue Saturday after receiving a cat in distress call.

It was reported on their Facebook page Monday that a call came in about a cat who got its head stuck in a hole in the rear of a freezer.
Members of Rescue 5 A shift were able to enlarge the hole with cutters to safely remove the cat.
This cat rescue tale shows yet another way a cat can get itself into trouble. Okay everyone, go and check out behind your freezer and see if there’s any way your kitty may find itself in a similar situation.
Our thanks go out to the firefighters who quickly answered the call for help.
