The story is told through two videos. We don’t know where it is. It is an English speaking country, probably America. It shows the ginger-and-white tabby asking for help because he has an injured foot and other health issues. The injury was probably incurred in a fight and it became infected. This is an ever-present danger for stray cats and this boy is definitely a stray cat. He was difficult to treat because he did not want to convalesce inside the person’s home which is why she let him out to live in the backyard as can be seen in the follow up video.
Like anyone else, I love to see injured and neglected cats healed and cleaned up, looking content and enjoying life again. ‘Sleeping rough’ as stray cats do can lead to them becoming dirty, diseased and injured. It is hard for them which is why volunteers who care for feral cat colonies under TNR programs are so kind. They give them more pleasant lives. It is the gift of happiness. This is something that people who dislike cats fail to recognise.
It pains me too, to see a cat (especially a nice, friendly one) in pain and distressed like that. I’m so glad that got turned around and he’s doing well again, both physically and emotionally.
