“The entire nation, and many other people outside the country, had their hearts broken by this completely unnecessary death, a horrible act of cruelty. (note from Elisa: video below will bring you up to date).

The perpetrator displayed his complete lack of concern for the laws of the state by stealing this car while wearing an ankle monitor, and he displayed his complete lack of concern for Zorra by not even leaving a window open when he abandoned the car.
Florida has classified aggravated animal cruelty as a 3rd degree felony, and yet most abusers only serve a fraction of that, or no time whatsoever. It’s time to send a message, to the state of Florida and the nation, that we will NOT tolerate such acts of cruelty.

The people of the state of Florida are demanding justice. Zorra and Wanda Ferrari deserve it. Do NOT offer or accept any plea deals. This uncaring individual deserves vigorous prosecution, the maximum sentence allowed by law, and consideration for habitual felony offender sentence enhancements if he qualifies.
Take a stand. For Zorra, for Wanda, and for the millions of people who consider their pets to be “family.”

Note from Elisa According to a report by Local 10 News, Francis appeared before a judge on Thursday. He is being held on a $117,300 bond. The court system will have a strong case since surveillance footage shows Francis getting into the car and driving off. The ankle bracelet that was used to track him also puts Francis at the scene.
Animal advocates are pushing hard for maximum punishment in this case. Poor Zorra died a horrible and unnecessary death. Francis has proven with his past criminal offenses that he’s just a waste of space on the planet. Click here to view his offenses.
