NEVERNEVERLANDS LAUREL
Neverneverland Serengeti cats and Kittens.
In January 2004 we adopted a breeding group of Bengals from Paul Starling Ozalet at Milton Keynes. By chance and not really knowing anything about the breed we adopted Maggie, a striking black /brown spotted Serenegti, later when Paul passed away quite suddenly we were offered the chance to adopt a snow spotted Isis .. From this very small beginning started our quest to breed Serengeti cats.
But what are Serengetis’?
A Serengeti is a designer cat. Developed in the USA it originated from selective breeding between a Bengal and a Oriental. The aim was to produce a cat that resembled the wild cats of the Serengeti plains but without the wild cat outcross. This beautiful breed are recognised and registered as pedigree by TICA in the USA.
Its an exciting time.
We are now one of a small group of Breeders currently DUAL BASED in the West of England and in Lincolnshire. We are ACTIVELY INVOLVED in setting up a foundation breeding stock in the UK.
WE ARE THE FIRST IN THE UK TO IMPORT A SERENGETI FROM THE USA. THANKS TO THE FOUNDER OF THE BREED KAREN SAUSAMAN KINGSMARK CATTERY KINGSMARK SHAKERIA STARTDUST JOINED US IN AUGUST 2007 AND IS NOW EXPECTING HER FIRST LITTER OF KITTENS.
We aim to breed happy, healthy and handsome Serengetis.
Lesley

Mar 08, 2009 | bengasl /siamese Although the Siamese comes in under the Oriental breed group the Serengeti is registered with TICA and the breed profile actually specifies that the only acceptable first generation cross is Bengal /Oriental Serengeti. lesley HI Belinda, |
Feb 09, 2009 | Seregeti look alike Hi, I have just bought a bengal siamese first cross who is very similar to your lovely serengetis, is he a serengeti? I understand that orientals are used in the cross, as siamese are oriental does mean that he is a serengeti? He is absolutely beautiful and getting more so by the day and his colours and markings are the same as those I have seen, however his face is quite triangular rather than rounded. Look forward to hearing your views. Your site is lovely by the way. |

May 14, 2008 | I didn’t realize Hi Thanks for the submission. I didn’t realize that your cattery is the first to import a Serengeti from the USA. That’s great. I’ll probably say something about it myself on the site. I’ll update the Serengeti page on this website to include a bit about you and your cattery. Michael |
I have one of Maggie’s offspring. A female registered as Little Fancy Merryn. I was always curious about the Ozalet connection. Strangely, I live in Milton Keynes.
