This a first for me and perhaps for you. A tiny kitten (who, incidentally has Turkish Van markings) had drowned in a flood in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia. Some great cat stories come out of Asia.
The kitten was trapped inside the roof of a building. Perhaps the flood had been so bad the building was submerged. The flooding was caused by typhoon Lekima which had cross Malaysia on August 9.

You can see in the video that the kitten looks dead in the hands of the young fireman (‘Abang bomba’ in the Malay language).
The fireman performed CPR on the kitten by gently depressing the cat’s chest with his finger. Gradually, there is a sign of life. Water falls from the kitten’s mouth and he begins to meow.
The kitten is placed on a towel and after a while he walks around the fireman’s feet. The fireman is part of the Sungai Petani rescue.
