Some tips and tricks in an infographic on ideas/pointers as to what might have happened to a ‘lost’ cat. There would seem to be 4-5 driving forces:
- Cat is unwittingly encouraged to leave the home due to less than optimum caregiving.
- Cat ‘s wild instinct takes over and they leave home for the wild (rare) or another home.
- As for 2 and cat gets lost or stuck somewhere
- Cat tries to return to their previous home range (home) after owners relocate. They may end up confused and rescued or reach their previous home and live wild or be rehomed/rescued.
- Inquisitive cat jumps in van or lorry and is transported away.
