You may have heard about Scarlet Blake who is currently the defendant in a murder trial in the UK for the killing of Jorge Martin Carreno in Oxford. The man was allegedly chosen at random as she had no connection with him. And also, for animal cruelty in the alleged torture and killing of a cat before the alleged murder.
It is claimed that Blake was obsessed with death and killing and was inspired by Luka Magnotta a notorious murder and cat killer currently serving a life sentence in Canada. Magnotta’s story is featured in the Netflix docuseries: Don’t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer.
It is claimed by the prosecution’s barrister (the CPS in the UK) that the security camera video material stitched together in this video shows Scarlet Blake walking the streets looking for a victim. It is not clear to me if this refers to a cat or human victim. Or perhaps both.
Below is the interesting video provided by the Thames Valley Police force. It is unusual to see this kind of video made available to the public. It is of interest to cat lovers and caregivers as this woman is allegedly a cat killer and torturer. She is accused of cutting out the heart of the cat she captured while the pet was alive. She then put the body in a blender. It is the kind of behavior – if proven in court – one expects of a psychopathic madman.
It starts with a warning but there is no violence in the video as far as I can see. We just see the 25-year-old woman walking around the streets at night. I am not sure why there is a warning. Perhaps it is because of what she is accused of doing. It is the backstory.
