Cats do not go away to die. They find a safe place when sick or injured.
People ask whether it is true that cats go away to die. It’s a misconception. Domestic cat do not ‘go away’ to die. They are simply finding a safe place where they hope that they will recover from the injury or illness. It’s a matter of securing safety while they try and recover. This gives the misleading impression to some people that they have gone away to die for some mystical reason. It is not true. There’s nothing more to say so I’ll leave it there.

Do cats go away to die? No. Not at all. They are fiding a safe place where the can repair themselves and face the world again. Drawing in the public domain.
