DIY cat enclosure under construction Islamabad, Pakistan!

Good day Michael. Here is the video of LAILA’s cage. The work is still in progress. I am making the cage with the art of DANMARK handicraft style, which is making the furniture in parts instead of in single pieces.

The cage will surely go up to 8 feet high, with every necessity which a kitten to cat requires and I will make every and each item with love and with my own hands.

It will take time but I am hoping that Laila will be settled in the cage within 14 days because this cage is not ordinary in shape and is complicated/professional with many thoughts in my mind.

I hope you all will enjoy after its completion and hope you will also give me suggestions for the future. <3

Laila’s cage is under construction, the work is in progress. This cage will not only protect LAILA the kitten but also serve as the rest place for three full adult cats.

Update from Michael October 20, 2021: this is years later but I feel compelled to tell you that he did not build an enclosure with a £100 which I sent him. I sent him a £100 which is a lot of money in Pakistan to build a really good enclosure for his feral cats. He ended up with something which cost a few quid if that and I can’t trust him. The man is untrustworthy. I cut ties with him because I can’t have any relationship with a man who is unscrupulous in my honest assessment. I asked for the money back but he didn’t give it to me. As mentioned, this was years ago and the matter is forgotten but not quite which is why I am writing this.

If he is reading this post and this updated message, I would ask him to comment. Could you please upload a fresh photograph of the enclosure that you built with the £100 that I sent you? Let’s see it, let’s see the evidence, please. I’m still waiting for the evidence. If you can’t produce evidence then please return the money because under those circumstances you have taken the money under false pretenses.

  1. Thank you Ruth, I am very tired after the work and continuously making spelling mistakes. But now when I know that you are admiring my work and someone MINE is with me, I am again a SUPERMAN, Ahhh I think CATMAN 😉

Thank you so much. God bless you more and more <3 <3 <3 ameen.

  2. You are right Cindy, but the problem is the SPACE which I have very limited. I have to think very wisely before I leap. And I have to think about the RULES and LAWS of my country. This is Pakistan and the Authority will not allow me to make a big enclosure on the terrace because the law does not allow the residents to cover the big space before we put an application to the authorities and then that is processed and as a special case dealt. It will take time and perhaps years to approve or disapprove.

I need to do something within my resources and permissible state laws to protect my free roaming (feral cats) and I was thinking this project for years but could not fulfill because my priority was to feed them and tame/groom them. I am a man with very limited resources/funds. You may say a poor middle class man.

The people even do not realize that they have to do anything regarding the welfare of cats and kittens, instead they go for a KILL. That is why I am willing to do this. There are many other reasons, too that I can not make an enclosure. But these two are the basic reasons.

Cindy! from 11th November 2014, full harsh winter is approaching to my city, It will be very cold. We are living in extreme weather area. Heat is equal to the heat where an egg can easy be boiled on a rocky stone and cold can easily kill any species who is not within the protection of its natural protective way. I have to think about weather both cold or hot before I make the cage or house of a cat.

I have finished my paper work before I started the cage with every aspect that covers the definition of “welfare of cats”. I have even also covered the aspect of any pregnant cat in my mind that if any cat gets pregnant, she can easily be settled within my terrace.

And believe me Cindy! I am still thinking. The feral cats and kittens are my family members Cindy, they are not FERAL, actually we have made them FERAL, there is something in our brains that have considered them as FERAL. they are all mine, now. Let the project be finished. Let them come to me.

Thousand thanks for your concern and comments, love them, and love your suggestions, too. thank you again and take care Cindy, God bless you, amen <3 <3 <3
