🇪🇺 THE WEST IS LOSING ITS WAY—AND I AGREE WITH JD VANCE
I don’t always see eye-to-eye with JD Vance politically all the time, but on Europe’s handling of mass migration, I believe he’s absolutely right. The European Union—and yes, I include the UK in this despite Brexit—is facing a cultural and civilizational crisis, one it seems unwilling to confront. UK’s Prime Minister knows how critical it is but does not know how to deal with it because he is weak and he lacks conviction. This problem needs strength, courage and decisiveness along the lines of Australian policy which has proved very effective. The key sadly is to make the UK unattractive to asylum seekers coming in illegally i.e. English Channel boat people. You have to remove the draw to this country.
For example advertise the fact that illegal immigrants arriving on small boats can’t achieve asylum ever. But also provide legitimate channels for genuine asylum seekers because the country has a duty to provide sanctuary to genuine cases under international law and morally. We know that the majority of boat people are economic migrants which I am sympathetic too. They are just trying to improve their lives.
🇩🇪 GERMANY’S TROUBLES ARE OUR TROUBLES
Vance singled out Germany as a case study in failed integration, suggesting that the unchecked influx of migrants could erode national identity. I think this rings true across the continent. Britain isn’t immune—our cities feel the pressure of rapid demographic shifts, public services stretched thin, and a political class too afraid to speak plainly.
🗣️ FREE SPEECH IN RETREAT
What’s more concerning is Europe’s crackdown on free expression. Vance pointed to the UK’s prosecution of an anti-abortion activist as evidence. Regardless of one’s views on abortion, the principle of open debate is sacred. Britain, like the EU, seems increasingly intolerant of dissent.
🔥 THE WEST MUST WAKE UP
This isn’t about rejecting migrants—it’s about demanding honest dialogue and responsible governance. Cultural preservation, national integrity, and freedom of speech shouldn’t be up for negotiation. If Europe continues to ignore these issues, it risks hollowing out its soul.
🧭 BREXIT DIDN’T MAKE US LESS EUROPEAN
Brexit drew a legal and economic line—but culturally, politically, and historically, Britain remains part of Europe. The challenges Germany faces echo here. If anything, our separation makes it more urgent to reassess who we are and where we’re headed.
It’s time for Western nations—including the UK—to face these realities, without the fear of being branded intolerant. Agreeing with Vance may be controversial, but sometimes the uncomfortable truth needs a spotlight.
I have just watched a BBC report about the shop owners of Newport, Wales where a lot of the owners are Kurdish immigrants and a lot of the employees are illegal immigrants seeking asylum working on the black market illegally. They are dealing in illegal goods such as vapes and cigarettes and Trading Standards are continually shutting down the shops. Judging by the video I saw, Newport high street has gone to pot completely. It is a gross and shocking mess. A degraded environment where serious and petty criminality thrives.
The fact that boat people – illegal immigrants coming over on small boats from France – are allowed to work in the black market in apparently large numbers is shocking but unsurprising. An example of how mass immigration undermines the host country.

A report in The Times of 1st August tells us that 1 in 8 prisoner in the UK was born overseas. Many are young men who’ve committed sex crimes. Point made about culture clashes and the destruction of UK culture. Proportional to the overall population 1 in 8 is far higher than for the indigenous population in prison. I am being factual not racist.
