This is the infuriating (and heartbreaking) story of two cats who were dumped by a transport driver on a cross country trip from Virginia to California. That transport driver needs a good ‘ass beating’ for abandoning Jack and Bean outside of Junction, Texas. A $1,000 per cat reward is being offered for their safe return.
The following was posted on Facebook (link may or may not work, depending on the country you live in).
A pet transport company was hired to deliver 2 cats from Virginia to California. They hired a contract driver who dumped the cats near a rest stop outside Junction, Tx, probably on April 3. Junction is 115 miles NW of San Antonio.
The cats are out in the hill country wilderness with coyotes, feral hogs, bobcats, and mountain lions. A search is underway. The owner is devastated. Please share to anyone and everyone in hopes of reaching people who can help search. Junction PD and Kimble County Sheriff’s Office are involved.
Please share and do not post any negative comments about finding these cats. Please keep in mind that the transport company, who are trying to assist, have also been victimized by this horrible person.
Please spread the word. Post on your wall and share with pet rescue groups. Both cats are microchipped.
As for Ramin Hamid, the alleged transport driver, he should be charged by the Kimble County Sheriff’s Office with animal abandonment. He had a review (see below) which said that he was nice and that he looked after your pet well.
