This is a trailer for a full-length feature film about the cats of Istanbul called ‘Kedi’. It is made by Termite Films. The director is Ceyda Torun and the star is Bülent Üstün. It gets an 8.4 out of 10 on the imdb.com website. I guess the film is really about seeing the ancient city of Istanbul through the lives of the community cats who live there. They are all natural, free-born Turkish Angoras and Vans!
See the real Turkish Van.

Michael_I agree their live’s are cut short as are all outdoor cats. I have always wanted a Turkish Van cat, but with four grown ‘Maine Coon’s’ I can’t see the logic in adopting another one.

Me too. I love these cats. This is something more natural about the life of these cats. More authentic to the original domestic cat. Although I expect their lives are shorter than those in the West.
I Love Turkish Van’s they are so powerful -full of dignity and just naturally Beautiful* They also don’t mind a swim now and then. I hope these cats are being fed-so many new litters on the way with a nomad life.
Yes-there is always a price for freedom_ human or animal.
Michael, this will definitely be a *must see* for me as well. . . It probably won’t make it to my city in the US so I will most likely have to wait until its release on DVD format. . . ♥♥♥
KEDI also attained the very rare 100% rating on the Rotten Tomatoes film critique score. Impressive!
I have to see that film… NOW!
