Cat owner was willing to crawl into a dark hole so Chinese fire department would rescue them both

This is a happy ending story recently came out of east China that got my attention due to the intelligent cat owner who was ready to do anything to rescue her cat. I admire the woman in the video I’ve included because she had a backup plan, just in case.

Apparently, a cat got into a crawl space in a Chinese basement. The hole was large enough for a human to fit through, so the cat may have eventually found his way out.

The cat’s owner was extremely stressed, so she contacted a Chinese fire department. The call receiver asked her if she could get a neighbor to help retrieve her cat, to which she replied

“If I go in for my cat, would you come save us both?”

The call receiver laughed and told the panicked lady they would be right out to rescue her cat. The video from China Global TV Network below is a short clip on the actual rescue.

Viewers are either amused or infuriated, as the most populated country on earth has limited resources for rescues. I just like the part where she was willing to crawl into a dark hole in order to have herself and her cat rescued together.

  1. Good for her! Too bad there are lots of others who wouldn’t do that! Bless the fire department!
