Domestic cats are more serene than humans because they don’t foresee their death — 1 Comment

  1. Sorry, but that philosopher, IMHO, wrote the biggest piece of claptrap that I’ve read in a very long time. We all have our opinions, bless us all, but come on. As much as I love my cats, and all animals in general, one shouldn’t make the mistake of assessing the human condition to a cat.

Some animals, like apes, share a higher dna with us, but that doesn’t mean they think like us; only that they have a higher thought capacity gauged by…wait for it…people!

Cats, like all animals, live in the moment. They make instant decisions, mostly by instinct, some by experience. Humans hem and haw over everything; it’s a wonder we’ve lived this long. Animals don’t worry about death – why should they? It’s just another phase in the Cycle of Life. Animals are a whole lot smarter than us. They enjoy life and live it. We just exist and stress over whether or not we’re enjoying it.

    Sad commentary on humankind.
