Man on trial for killing hotel cat Strushie released by ICE and deported back to Greece

Concerned Americans fighting for justice in the killing of Strushie a hotel cat are angry after learning that Georgios Lollias, one of the three accused of killing Strushie, was deported by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) back to Greece on 29th Nov., his country of origin.

Lollias had recently been released by Miami-Dade County despite being charged with two felonies of animal cruelty. He admitted to killing Strushie as there is overwhelming video evidence as I understand it. Lollias was due to stand trial on December 11th at 9 am.

The rapid change of approach by the authorities is bewildering. Why did they not follow through with the trial? Here was a clear cut case of animal cruelty. Why couldn’t they convict and punish Lollias and then deport him to Greece? Am I missing some obvious point?

There is also the outstanding issue of the other two accused: the current owners of the Franklin Hotel: Chris Viso and Charles Schneider. It is alleged that they paid Lollias to kill Strushie for personal reasons in an argument with the hotel’s previous owner.

The Facebook “Justice for Strushie-Miami Beach cat killed by arrow” page states that Viso and Schneider paid and directed Lollias, one of the hotel’s employees to torture and murder Strushie. The FB advocates fighting for justice for Strushie are concerned that the MBPD (Miami Beach Police Department) will close the file and not go after these two.

They believe that the police want to shut up the animal advocates and let the matter fizzle out. They defiantly state:

This case is far from over…

On October 26th, Justice for Strushie, compared the actions of the Hollywood police concerning a pitbull dog found stabbed and beaten. The police canvassed neighborhoods and viewed surveillance videos. None of this happened in the Strushie killing. The MBPD only acted when forced to by public outcry.

Animal advocates will be unsurprised by the turn of events. We are used to seeing injustice in animal cruelty cases.

Below is a video of one of the animal advocate fighters, fighting for justice outside the Franklin Hotel, bravely protesting alone with two police officers nearby working out what to do! I admire this lady.

P.S. The Franklin Hotel is an historic boutique hotel in the South Beach area of Miami, Florida, USA. I’d ask you to boycott it if you are travelling to Miami. The owners are bad people.

  1. The Miami PD only investigated this case after an intense public outcry. The chances of them going after Lollias and the Franklin Hotel owners are zero now that Lollias has been deported and will never stand trial. Boycott the hotel.

  2. Please tell everyone you know to boycott the Franklin Hotel in Miami Beach. It may be the only way left to honor Strushie, by ruining the hotel’s business. The vile owners ordered Lollias to torture and murder an innocent animal with a crossbow they provided to take revenge on the previous owner who loved and cared for Strushie over some dispute. Then paid for a high priced lawyer to defend him and keep him quiet and take the fall. It is known that the owners let Lollias live free at the hotel and paid for expensive dental work but Lollias had to do their bidding and dirty work in return especially since he is a broke illegal that had nothing.
