This mysterious Chinese gang of cat torturers and killers has garnered a lot of comment and discussion on the Internet because they are so disgustingly horrendous. The things that they get up to are mindbogglingly horrific. But their activities are shrouded in mirrors and smoke with different names in different stories.
I have written about this gang on two other occasions and I would like you to read those two articles before proceeding with this one. The pages open in new tabs/windows.
- Xu Zhihui – Xu Mouhui – Jack Hot Strip – Jack Spicey Strip leads a gang torturing/killing street cats in China
- Nauseating gang of cat torturers in China must be stopped somehow
As you can see, and as mentioned, there are lots of names and in this latest story from the Daily Star in the UK, we have a man named only as Li as the perpetrator of gross animal cruelty. Note: I must thank – and other people must thank – the people researching this matter on the Internet and the vigilantes referred to in this article. These are people who are fighting back against this gang both online and off-line; on the ground. These people deserve praise. I am simply reporting on it.
This developing story is about animal activists fighting back against this sickening animal torture group which shares videos online of their activities.
For example, in one video published by the vigilantes Li is seen to be attacked at a shopping mall or shopping area in the eastern Chinese city of Suzhou.
You might ask: Where are these videos? Can I see them? Well, they’ll be on Chinese social media sites where it is very hard to find them for Westerners. And in any case, I don’t want to see them. No way. Never. I can barely write about this story. It is too sickening. Too disturbing. Too macabre.
Li had bragged about his torturing on social media saying that he had killed a number of cats and that he was on his way to obtain four more to torture them.
But when he met the person who I presume was going to give the man 4 kittens, he met the vigilantes instead. He was ambushed by these cat lovers. They forced him to confess his misdeeds on camera. They roughed him up. They smeared human excrement over his face.
The picture on this page shows that. The attack was live streamed. It was discussed on the Rotten Mango podcast. The host of that pod cast, Stephanie Soo said: “Everyone knew that he got exactly what he deserved. This man was part of an animal snuff film gang that would catch, torture and kill kittens for views on the Telegram.
Li, she said, was known for boiling cats alive. He wanted to kill them slowly and as painfully as possible she said. The police said they plan to arrest the vigilantes! And there were going to detain Li for questioning.
There are no animal welfare laws of any note in China. There are no general animal welfare laws in China such as this is a case in nearly every developed country in the world. It’s no surprise, therefore, that these gangs exist.
I’m not sure if this gang with Li as the head (apparently) is the same gang as the one I have described in earlier articles with “Xu Zhihui – Xu Mouhui – Jack Hot Strip” as the head (see link above). It might well be the same person because as I said at the beginning the whole thing is shrouded in fog and names appear to be constantly changed to achieve that goal.
It seems clear that they are continuing to torture and kill cats. They appear to be doing this with impunity. The authorities don’t care and/or are impotent. Animal loving vigilantes are fed up and are taking action, which is obviously needed.
This has become an international issue and not one confined to China because their discussing activities are published on the Internet in videos.
Crush videos are also made for unloading onto social media. It is extraordinary how perverted the human race is.
